Professional Services Working Group

Professional Services support the core academic functions of learning and teaching, research and community engagement in a number of ways at multiple levels throughout the University. The Professional Services Working Group provides information on how they support the core academic functions in our self-evaluation report. Please click on the list of working group members on this page to see our University-wide Professional Services list. This working group also included all nineteen School Operations Managers as well as Student Representative Council members. College and School level Professional Services staff participated in the College Working Groups.

Terms of Reference

 

  1. Set the Professional Services context for the audit, by providing documentary evidence on how Professional Services Sector carries out the vision, mission and goals of the University. Moreover, Professional Services will report and produce evidence about the design of quality management and quality assurance systems and related components. The documentary evidence will be cross-referenced in the POE.
  2. Describe and reflect on the coherence, effectiveness and efficiency of the support by Professional Services to the core academic functions [(1) learning and teaching, (2) research, (3) integrated community engagement]. The focal point is the contribution made by the quality management systems and processes in enabling the likelihood of student success and improved learning, teaching, and research, as well as the institution’s integrated community engagement. The documentary evidence will be cross-referenced in the PoE;
  3. Provide documentary evidence in support of the description and self-evaluation of the Professional Services’ quality management systems and quality assurance systems, which will be cross-referenced in the PoE;
  4. Identify areas of strength and areas that require improvement and development; and
  5. Be guided by the series of Project Plans
